Sending email

Once your questions and list are ready, askghost sends for you. Here's how a send actually flows.

How an email goes out

  1. Pick the from addressBy default you send from askghost's shared address (feedback@send.askghost.dev), so there's nothing to configure. If you've registered your own domain, you can send from that instead.
  2. Test sendBefore hitting your real list, send one to yourself to eyeball the subject, body, and survey link.
  3. Confirm and sendOn the final screen you confirm the recipient count and from address. You have to tick "I've reviewed the email preview" before the test email can go out, and the send button only opens once a test send has succeeded and you tick the send-confirmation box — that the list is your own users rather than bought, scraped, or cold contacts. Sending then runs suppression-list exclusion and a last safety check automatically.
  4. Responses roll into the reportAs recipients answer the survey, the report handles the counting for you.
